More informations
Toy Painting – Roll Over Mouse is part of the Toy Paintings series, commissioned by Zurich gallerist Bruno Bischofberger in 1982. Inspired by Warhol’s collection of metal toys, this series of silkscreened canvases was intended to be displayed at a child’s eye level, transforming the gallery into a playful space where young viewers could explore freely. First exhibited in Zurich in 1983, the work embodies the spirit of freedom and fantasy of childhood, while also reflecting Warhol’s enduring relationship with Bischofberger and the rise of Pop Art in Europe.
