More informations

Sébastien Kito is currently exploring form and color through mobile, articulated, and hollowed-out sculptures, often imbued with anthropomorphic or animal reminiscences. His sculptures offer a playful invitation to engage with the space occupied by the work or to transform it by moving one of the pieces of the evolving structure.

These particular relationships between the work and space are akin to the Japanese concept of ma, which defines the spatial or temporal interval between two things, as important as the two elements that define it. With the utmost apparent simplicity, Sébastien Kito manages to suggest complex relationships or interactions between the sculptures and the space, between solid and void.
