ART

In the middle of the 1990s, Qiu also wrote a lot about Chinese conceptual art and performance art, which lead to the so-called controversy of signification. The most important debate in art theory in the Chinese art world. The round door is photography of Qiu Zhijie. In his artwork, he always put some text in it. His art is qualified as "calli-photo-graphy". He masters photography, painting, video and performance. That lead him to installation. Qiu Zhijie wants to deal with Chinese history and self-assertion itself. Here we see a wall with an inscription. We see graffiti in the air. It is a photomontage of 2005. These inscriptions are positive messages, including memory and hope.
