Exhibition of the collective 4HM, work on paper at Galerie LOFT.<\/p>\n

To conclude its 2014 exhibition program, Galerie Loft, in collaboration with Galerie Elion in Beijing, presents an international Chinese collective of artists: 4HM. The artists forming this collective\u2014Lin Mo, Nicola\u00ef, Da Bao (Li Yongmin), and Crist\u00f3bal Ortega\u2014have worked closely together to conceive this exhibition of works on paper, which will be presented in Paris, Madrid, and Beijing.<\/p>\n

These works are created around the theme of \u2018thirst\u2019\u2014that which, according to Ignacio G\u00f3mez de Lia\u00f1o, author of the exhibition catalogue preface, \u2018lies at the core of all things, at the deepest level of existence.\u2019 This \u201cthirst,\u201d to which each artist responds in their own way (Nicola\u00ef through plastic and conceptual challenges; Crist\u00f3bal Ortega through flowing currents evoking an evanescent world; Lin Mo through petrified wood transformed into letters and arboreal gestures; Li Yongmin through an offering of calm and humble simplicity), seems to seek to soothe that which \u2018devours us as it devours every man and every thing that exists.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
