The artist explored the subject in two dimensions for about twenty years, using various mediums and formats. In 1994, he revisited the themes of Crowds and Homo by drawing on Canson paper with ink, and named the works the \u2018Mutants series.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Here, a human figure stands upright against a black background and appears to emanate from orange matter.
