Guillaume Piéchaud, a sculptor and designer, was born in 1968 in Paris. He graduated from the École Boulle with a degree in “engraving on precious metal and volume”. For eight years, he worked in the workshops of the most prestigious jewelers, notably. Alongside this, he continued his artistic creations. The hammered effect on some pieces recalls the techniques of luxury jewelry making, thus making each piece unique.
Galerie LOFT has dedicated several projects to this young French artist, whom it admires. In 2010, it collaborated with the artist on editions of his polished stainless steel furniture, which were presented at the “Bestiary” exhibition. The following year, it published a catalog of his latest creations. In 2013, she collaborated with him on the redesign of the Eiffel Suite, the highest room in the Hôtel Lutetia, and reiterated her support for the interior design of the “Acide Macaron” tea room by the trendy pastry chef Jonathan Blot. Several of the artist’s pieces have recently been selected by leading international designers, such as Peter Marino for the ornamental design of Dior’s showroom in Hong Kong, and Paul Smith, who featured his works in the window of his prestigious London boutique. The following year, Galerie LOFT presented a new exhibition by Guillaume Piéchaud, “Aquatic,” showcasing his new series of “Galets” tables and “Poulpes” chairs.
