“Nature as a source of inspiration seems to have no limits. Guillaume Piéchaud’s works are proof of this. Translating Nature into furniture is not merely about contemplating fauna, flora, or minerals in order to reproduce them. It is, in fact, about capturing the essence of their harmony. While line is its primary component, light often becomes the revealer. Whether it comes from within or from outside, whether reflected or diffused, it asserts itself — as gentle as it is powerful. This fascination, born from the artist’s love of semi-precious stones, particularly rock crystal, has led him to integrate new dimensions into his works.”

ARTIST

Guillaume Piéchaud, born in 1968 in Paris, is an extraordinary designer and sculptor who immerses us in the heart of a “fantastical” design world. Through a repertoire of dreamlike motifs and forms, he creates a recognizable yet constantly reinvented universe composed of furniture pieces that are contemporary in shape, yet simple and refined.

A graduate of École Boulle in 1988, specializing in precious metal engraving and volume, the artist joined the workshops of some of the most renowned jewelers. For eight years, he designed jewelry collections for major luxury houses. At the same time, Guillaume Piéchaud continued to refine his engraving skills and pursue his artistic career.

Driven by remarkable creative potential, the young designer sought to explore art in all its forms, giving rise to creations inspired by his imaginary bestiary. His creatures emerge clad in polished stainless steel — a naturally cold material that, through form and luminosity, becomes infused with warmth and softness. His pronounced attraction to light, cultivated over the years, is one of the defining characteristics that gives his works their singular presence. Standing before them, one can hardly distinguish between a piece of furniture and a jewel.

He now lives in Aulnay-sous-Bois.
