« Imaginary Landscapes is a series of works created spontaneously, one per day, without direct reference to a real landscape. Each painting is a mental projection, a territory born from the moment, where shape and color impose themselves freely. Throughout the process, a chronological order emerged, revealing a subtle evolution: first the composition, then the color, which gradually took hold. Among them, red-orange stood out naturally, a vibrant and instinctive shade, bringing warmth and intensity. Each work is thus a fragment of an interior journey, a resonance of the gaze and the imagination, where abstraction becomes landscape and gesture, memory. »

Joséphine de Saint-Seine

Joséphine de Saint-Seine, née à Paris en 1974, a grandi à Apremont, un petit village de Picardie et vit et travaille aujourd’hui à Marseille. Elle développe dès lors un travail progressif autour de l’exploration des origines des êtres et des éléments qui constituent notre planète. Elle se nourrit de formes et de textures, de matières et de sensations, de symbolique des couleurs et de l’imprévisibilité de l’encre touchant le papier, de lignes et d’évanescence, mais aussi des vertus médicinales des plantes, des vertus physiques et spirituelles du modelage, et de celles, poétiques et mentales de l’écriture.
