Camera Oscura is Liu Xin Tao’s first solo exhibition in France, presented in partnership with Galerie Loft.
Liu Xin Tao’s paintings immerse us in the night through a camera obscura effect, revealing intertwined couples whose blurred silhouettes are reflected only in mirrors and screens. Alongside the artist, we observe the intimacy of these couples—in rooms with unmade beds, or in dimly lit, almost deserted streets—like stolen moments.
Camera Oscura presents the works of Liu Xin Tao, still relatively unknown in France, whose paintings are filled with poetry, dream, and imagination.
Opening reception: Thursday, March, 2015, from 6 p.m., in the presence of the artist.
