Born in 1993 in Czech Republic, Alžběta Wolfová is an artist photograph graduat on Beaux-Art University in Paris and in the Academy of Art in Prague.
Born in 1993 in Czech Republic, Alžběta Wolfová is an artist photograph graduat on Beaux-Art University in Paris and in the Academy of Art in Prague.
Alžběta Wolfová has exhibited at Czech Center in Paris , and in the Palais des Beaux-Arts for the ICART Artistik Rezo award, and at list the Minotaure Galeris. She was the recipient in Neufliz OBC project. In summer 2023, she has participated to the art exhibition of the “Collection Societé Générale “ directed by Lauranne Germand on the Coal projet. In parallel with independent research at the photographic laboratory, she also develops a collaborative and collective activity with the exhibition curator: ‘Poltergeists’ and Counter-Espaces’ at the PhotoSaintGermain festival with Alain Berland and ‘Art for Ukraine’ charity evenings at the Center Czech culture in Paris.
The relationships that humans have with animals, and how they choose to represent them, are central questions in the artist’s work. Thus, according to Marjorie Bertin:
“The artificial staging also leads to question the notion of animal-machine, which mechanizes nature and transmutes the body into a complex assembly of cogs and spare parts.” Marjorie Bertin
Whether it is landscape or natural element ( flowers, feathers …), she reorganize the line between organical and artificial advise. Her practice has rallied colored harmonie inspired by the first technic of photographic of 19st century. Wolfová use filters and analogically rigging to make pictures.

Alžbětka Wolfová presents an immersive installation centered around the memory of living beings in the exhibition Captives of Time. This exhibition is produced by the Signature Foundation, in collaboration with the Philharmonie de Paris, and with the participation of the National Museum of Natural History.
“Alžběta Wolfová, known for her photographic work on living things, decided to focus her new artistic research on an animal often despised, even objective: the insect. By collaborating with numerous researchers, she makes a reasonable shift and focuses on the mission, which she herself describes as improbable, of making the vision of insects visible to show what is significant on the scale of the 'animal'."
