It was precisely in this garden that Jorge Romero Brest, the museum’s director in the 1960s, envisioned these sculptures as part of an ambitious modernization of the museum, guided by international standards of excellence—a project commissioned from di Teana that could not be realized at the time.

The opening will bring together the press, official representatives from the city and the Ministry of Culture, cultural institutes from the French and Italian embassies, as well as patrons and friends of the museum. The speeches will be accompanied by the screening of a new film about the Di Teana studio-museum, produced for the occasion.

Winner of numerous awards and recognized for his contribution to contemporary sculpture and urbanism, Marino di Teana returns to Argentina with the powerful visual impact his works unfold in their surroundings, offering the public a unique artistic experience.

The largest monumental sculpture, Dawn, standing 5 meters tall and surpassing the one in Le Havre, is located in Plaza Rubén Darío, at the corner of the famous Avenida del Libertador and Avenida Presidente Figueroa Alcorta, within the gardens of the National Museum. These sculptures are situated in the historic and tourist district of central Buenos Aires: the Recoleta neighborhood.
