MARINO DI TEANA

1952-2012. 60 years of creation.

Exhibition at the Loft Gallery from January 21 to April 30, 2016

Painter, sculptor, and architect, Francesco Marino di Teana possessed immense talent and a high standard for his work. He dedicated his life and work to observing, designing, and constructing urban space models. Also a philosopher and poet, he pondered theories and how we live within them. The housing and architecture of “future cities” should henceforth incorporate aesthetics and harmony to better adapt to our new lifestyles and become more egalitarian.

This was the goal DI Teana set for himself.

Never rest on your laurels, but always strive for more and surpass yourself.

In preparation for the Catalogue Raisonné of Franscesco Marino di Teana’s sculptures, Galerie Loft and Nicolas Marino di Teana, the artist’s only son and founder of “Atelier Marino DI TEANA, Sauvegarde et diffusion de l’oeuvre de Francesco Marino Di Teana”, invite you to delve into the heart of this great artist’s oeuvre through a unique exhibition of historical pieces: sculptures, furniture, paintings, plans and more.

On this occasion, Nicolas Marino di Teana will also present the Catalogue Raisonné project, as well as a special subscription catalogue published for this event, showcasing the artist’s key works and life story.

“What I love about Di Teana is his astonishing sensitivity to metal. He has managed to give a human touch to the coldest of materials: steel. His dominant concern is to link sculpture to architecture. Deeply Catholic, even mystical, he dreams of associating his monumental style with the fervor of a church.
