Galerie Loft is pleased to present a group exhibition dedicated to its artist-designers in September.
By integrating the development of new materials and new technologies into their work, our artists design unique pieces of furniture, combining computer design and extremely precise craftsmanship.
The matter has now merged with the line to draw astonishing shapes, evoking the anatomical or molecular body at Olivier Moravik or fantasized and hybrid beings at Guillaume Piéchaud and the art box or the fantastical universe at Daniel Hourdé.
Before his Master degree in Plastic Arts and Photograph at Paris VIII under the direction of Dominique Baqué, Olivier Moravik studied the Advertising Marketing. He started his career as professional photographer, but at the same time he never give up his interest in contemporary art and the furniture, especially the Scandinavian design and the Bauhaus.
Guillaume Piéchaud is a French sculptor and designer. Born in 1968, he graduated from the École Boulle (an historical reference amid art and design schools in Europe) in 1988, where he attended engraving techniques of precious metal. He has worked with famous jewelry designers for eight years, creating collections in collaboration with the most important craftsmen and luxury brands.
Living in Paris.Born in 1947 in Boulogne Billancourt (France), Daniel Hourdé studied at the School of Fine Arts in Grenoble during three years before attending the School of Fine Arts in Paris until 1972. Daniel Hourdé’s work is based on the mastery of bronze that combines the classic modeling techniques with the codes of 1970's pop figuration, associated in incongruous contexts.
