"Bad Head" Series

Chen Man is quickly becoming an "icon" in the fashion world. Recognized for her sumptuous and strange shots, she opens up fashion photography to a new aesthetic. By pursuing her research in the artistic field, she sublimates the beauty of women by inserting them into compositions with incongruous elements that question our industrial and overconsumption societies. With her unique aesthetic, she explores contemporary themes, but always inspired by traditional Chinese elements, in order to decipher current society from the inside. By reinventing the woman's body, from the purest lines to the most kitsch, she makes it a medium for reflection on the pollution that is imposed a little more on us every day, both physically and spiritually, and transforms women. of the 21st century into a hybrid and disturbing creature.

Born in Beijing in 1980, CHEN MAN showed from an early age an innate talent for drawing. His mother encouraged him in this direction by sending him to a high school specializing in art. She then entered the Central Academy of Fine Art (graduated in 2005 in the photography section) where she studied Design. She's only 23 and still a student when she designs the covers for China Vision Magazine that make her famous. Following this first success, she was solicited by the biggest magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan for the production of covers and opened her own photography company now solicited by the biggest brands. In 2008 one of his photos was displayed at the China Design exhibition at the Victoria Museum in London. She lives in Beijing and L.A. and works in Beijing.
