CELESTIAL FIELDS (2) Mathias Bensimon

Mathias Bensimon is an artist who places light at the heart of his work. Light as a medium and substance, but also light as a revealing intelligence. light can appear to us in a multitude of forms and reflections and then raises the question of the visible and the invisible. He tirelessly researches and explores new light experiences through gestures and alloys of unique colors in contemporary art. During these five years at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, he was able to confront the reality of the material, learning from recognized teachers and iconic craftsmen and participating in many projects around the world.

“I thought of working on the notion of representation of the living, our way of seeing reality dependent on our mental representations. A microscopic garden form both inside and outside. I chose to work from quantum theories that influence living cells.”
