More informations
During the 1960s, Bernard Quentin developed a particular interest in crowds, which gave rise to a series of artworks. The artist explored this subject in two dimensions for approximately twenty years, employing diverse mediums and formats. In 1994, Quentin revisited the themes of crowds and homos by creating ink drawings on Canson paper, and he named these works the «Mutants series.»
In this artwork, black human figures emerge from a vivid pink background, while the word ‘crowd’ is repeatedly inscribed around the group.
